In Memorium

Jack
Our beautiful boy Jack, sadly left us on the 27th November 2010.  We will miss you Jack, you were and are very special.  You loved going for your walks and running around the big garden with your friend Scruffy, she could never catch you.  I miss you whinning at the bottom of the stairs in the night for me to come down and cover you up with your blanket. We love you and miss you. But we know you are happy running around in heaven, I know you will be chasing all the rabbits and cats. Pop down and see Scruffy sometime, she is missing you loads.

Take care big boy, we will see you again one day.

love, hugs and kisses Jane, Graham and Scruffy

In Memory of Smiler, Farloe Knight 24.03.2002 – 07.02.2011

In loving memory of our beautiful big blue boy Smiler, who was taken from us far too soon with bone cancer.

You’ve left a huge empty space in our home and our hearts that can never be filled.  We are so sad that we will never hear you sing and will never see you grinning from your chair at the window ever again.

We will never forget you and will always love you and we know that Grandad John is looking after you.

Run fast, run free my gorgeous blue boy, see you again one day.

To Flo Jo Blue, Our Perfect Posh Princess.

You walked like a lady, all posh and proud,
You won lots of races, to please the crowd.
And we cheered.

The first time we met you, you pee’d on the floor,
You shivered and shook, tried to hide by the door.
And we cried.

You soon settled in, only cried once I think.
Munched all your food, my word what a stink.
And we smiled.

Figures of eight you ran on the beach, so speedy.
A flash of blue flying past us, oh so neatly.
And we whooped.

Your first foot in the sea, it scared you quite badly.
Bravely you tried again, chasing the ball very gladly.
And we laughed.

The squirrels were quick, but if only they knew,
They’d be chased tough the forest, so quickly and true.
And we gasped.

Tho’ we bought Flo a sofe, a bed all of her own,
Twas a race, like The Simpsons each time we got home.
And we smiled.

You didn’t like fireworks, trains or the brakes on a bus,
You did like cuddles, brushes and tons of fuss.
And we loved.

It came as a shock, that Sunday night,
When your legs wouldn’t work, this can’t be right.
And we prayed.

On Friday you went into a deep deep sleep,
And our hearts are truly broken.
And we cried.

All our love
Flo

In Memory of Frazer aka Blancey.

Frazer came to live with us 8 years ago, he had had a very tough start to his retired life and didn’t know how to respond to the affection we tried so hard to show him, the first day and night we had him he barked incessantly.  Over the coming months we stuck with him and slowly he became more and more responsive to us.  After a few tries at letting him off the lead we began to think he would never be allowed to run free as he constantly went on “the hunt”.  With patience and training Frazer found a remarkable ability to live alongside our guinea pigs, so much so that they could run around on the floor and he wouldn’t bat an eyelid!  Two years ago his world fell apart when we lost Cassie, our first greyhound, Frazer became very depressed, this was not helped when, a couple of months later, he was attacked and badly bitten by another dog.  He came through that and we then got Eva, a sweet little girl greyhound, who brought a new life to Frazer and he was soon back to his normal happy go lucky self.  Last August we thought we had lost him when he was diagnosed with a serious heart condition and given 6 months at the most to live, but in true Blancey style his bravery shone through and with his medication was soon back to his normal self so much so that he was allowed off his lead, something we never thought we would see and something that he truly loved.  Together Frazer and Eva attended our wedding as guests of honour and Frazer came on our honeymoon to Norfolk, memories we shall keep forever.  He was the true patriarch of our family.  Our hearts broke on 11/08/11 when the day arrived that we had to make the awful decision that a dog lover dreads. Our boy just couldn’t go on, this time it was one hurdle too many having overcome so many before. We know that he is running around free of pain and has been reunited with his sister, Cassie.  RIP our beautiful boy Frazer aka Blancey - you have left a hole in our hearts, we miss you everyday and you will never be forgotten xxxx
