Dogs With Special Needs


Some of the dogs in the kennels are looking for a special home to meet their needs. All have lovely temperaments but need a little bit of extra support from their new owners.  This can be for a variety of things including age, shyness or being very timid; some dogs can be strong on the lead and others need socialising with other dogs. These behaviours can prevent them getting a home but all can be overcome with training and our dog behaviourist Kim Hunt will help prospective owners to solve the various problems.  In this section we feature dogs with special needs and explain what behaviour issues exist . We will also follow some of the special needs dogs on their training programmes and show how their problems can be overcome.
