Sparkie is just one of those unbelievably lovely, cuddly, handsome, kind, dogs who is a little bit timid and shy when he first meets new people and tends to bark not because he is the least bit aggressive but because he is frightened but once he gets to know you he becomes more confident. Sparkie is six years old and a big boy but very placid and happy and is presently kennelled with a bossy little girl but he just stays cool and ignores her.  He has a wonderful temperament and has a lovely gentle way with everyone he meets including female greyhounds.  He loves his cuddles and fuss and he just wants to have a happy loving home with someone who will shower him with affection.  He has had a long racing career and was Best Dog Nottingham Greyhound Stadium in 2008 after winning 19 races so he really deserves a special home.  Sparkie is excellent on the lead and is a pleasure to walk and he loves to go travelling and he is very clean in his kennel.  He may be fine with other dogs and OK with older children probably teenagers. Sparkie won’t be cat friendly.
